Great site, but be really careful of the ads

It's a really good site, from my experience!! I've used it for a handful of years, and never had any problems, besides the two I'm going to mention here. I really enjoy how user-friendly it is.However, when my sibling was using it today, they did accidentally click on something. They're not sure exactly what, but it caused their screen to get taken over by what looked like a virus. From what I can tell, this was because of one of the ads that popped up, most likely because they couldn't understand which button closed it and which one would send them to the harmful site, since both were labelled in Japanese(which we do not speak). I've seen multiple people mention online that their device has been affected by the site as well. This leads me to my main complaint: The ads on this website can, at times, be incredibly problematic. I'm not even worried about how frequently they turn up, that part I'm happy to tolerate. However, not only does the site seem to harbor advertisements that contain viruses, but it also has blatantly shown hentai(porn) on my screen when I've used it before. Though this was one or two years ago and may no longer be relevant, it was very consistent, even though nothing from my data could make that truly seem like something I'd like. I haven't been able to see the ads much anymore, though, since I've switched over to using the site on a computer which blocks the ads for me. I understand that Japanese culture is different from mine, but Picrew is not an NSFW site. I don't even think it's NSFW-friendly. Not only that, but from what I know, a large portion of its users are minors.Overall, though I'm pretty sure the website itself is fine, be careful when you're going on there, especially in the case of the pop-up ads. I've found that removing the "#google_vignette" that shows up in the URL when you get those is a fairly quick and easy way to get rid of them. Stay safe out there, y'all <3
