Vehicle purchased 2 years ago with approx 35,000 miles on the clock. The coolant was not topped up.The 1st MOT failed as the mechanic said a fan was not working properly, and the engine was on the verge of blowing up. This cost £800 to repair. The car broke down two weeks ago on the first day of a holiday in Cornwall. We called pine lodge, who asked to be informed of the issue once know. This turned out to be the dual mass flywheel. We asked for options regarding potentially towing the vehicle home, and also a valuation for them potentially taking the car back. Despite being assured of options being available, and that they would assist us where possible, and specifically being told they would send details of a tow company, we have not received any call back or further contact. We have now fully resolved this ourselves, and would not recommend pine lodge at all due to their sheer lack of after care. Instead of guarded comments about options, and leaving us without contact, a simple no would have sufficed if they were not in a position to help. At the time of writing, the vehicle has done around 55,000 miles.
