I joined the J-1 program through this agency with high expectations, but my experience was quite stressful due to repeated miscommunication and unexpected additional costs. During my visa process, there were delays related to embassy regulations and scheduling issues. However, I was not clearly informed from the beginning that I might need to pay a new SEVIS fee. I was initially told I only needed to pay for a document reissue. Later, I was informed that another SEVIS fee was required, which felt very overwhelming financially.
I also experienced multiple miscommunications, even after my visa specialist was changed. This created confusion and uncertainty throughout the process. As a participant investing a significant amount of money (MRV fee, travel costs, accommodation for interview, etc.), clearer communication would have made a big difference.
I am giving 2 stars mainly because Angela was professional and responsive. I truly appreciate her support. However, overall, the experience was stressful due to the lack of consistent and transparent communication. I hope the agency improves its communication system so future participants can avoid similar situations.
