I recently purchased a car from Platinum Plus Cars, and I wanted to share my detailed and disappointing experience. The car was delivered on October 5, 2024, and upon arrival, several issues were identified, including flickering lights related to the cornering function, a rear tyre close to the legal limit causing a horrible vibration above 60mph, a non-functional front camera, and a grabbing Haldex. Additionally, the car was missing its full service history and warranty documents, which we had to chase to receive. On October 8, the car went to our local garage for investigation. By October 15, an invoice was provided to Platinum Plus Cars for the tyre, Haldex, and camera repairs. The local garage advised that the lights would need to go to a specialist. On October 17, I followed up regarding the quote and the outstanding issues, including the service light that was not cleared despite the vehicle being serviced before delivery. Adam, the Director, confirmed they would cover the quote for the Haldex, tyre, and camera repairs at the local garage. The work was carried out on November 12, resolving the Haldex, tyre, and camera issues. I informed Platinum Plus Cars of the completion and advised that the lights would be booked in with a Land Rover specialist for investigation. On November 18, I notified them that the car was booked for December 12 to address the flickering light issue. Despite multiple follow-ups, the lights were not repaired until March 14, 2025.Throughout this period, I had to chase Platinum Plus Cars repeatedly for updates and payments. The car was eventually returned with the new driver-side light damaged and two of the four alloys damaged, which were not present when the car was initially sent for repair. Additionally, the bumper was held on with tape, which was left as a temporary measure by the garage.I informed them of the damage to the light and the alloys, and they asked me to hold off posting my review until they had looked into it and got back to me. This was over a week ago, and they have chosen not to update me. However, I'm not surprised, as this was one of the biggest issues with their service—a lack of communication unless chased. Regarding the damage to the alloy wheels and headlight, we have proof in terms of pictures taken before and after the car was sent for repair at Platinum Plus Cars. This proof was also shared via text message to the main contact number.Despite the numerous issues and delays, Platinum Plus Cars did offer a goodwill gesture of £100. However, the overall experience was frustrating and inconvenient, with significant delays and damage to the vehicle that was not present before the repairs.
