The POP Yachts business model was a little confusing at first, given the number of people involved in the process, the hand-off from one rep to another, and the automated emails presenting other boats of potential interest even though I was already focused on just one. However, after transition, the previous reps remained accessible and responsive to any issues or questions - even after closing!Buying any boat is a complicated and risky process, especially from long distance during a pandemic. It is ultimately a buyer's responsibility to ensure their expectations are met or adjusted accordingly via personal inspection and survey to confirm represented condition. Opinions of condition and suitability of anything are highly subjective and often differ between those selling and those buying. POP Yachts was no different than any other brokerage in that regard, presenting optimal photos and seller's somewhat rosy description of condition. What was refreshing about Vic and Lou is that there was no push back or pressure applied during negotiation when presented with a different opinion of value or suitability. Vic and Lou were more realistic and very rational in their sales approach than most other boat brokers that I have dealt with over many years.
