I was with 2 other friends to get lunch on a Friday afternoon. We all had "sticker shock" with the current prices. More money less food, and add on prices.I ordered an Italuan beef sandwich. The staffer asked, " sweet or hot peppers with that?" I foolishly thought that was included in the $7.79 price. I was charged another $ .75, bringing the price to $8.54.The "small" fries did not even fill the small bag, at $3.19. And I had an ice tea, for $2.48 The bill was $15.00, with tax.The ketchup cups are so very tiny that you have to use 3 for a normal condiment size of one. The cup for the ice tea holds 24 ounces of liquid, but Portillo workers fill the entire cup with ice cubes so you can only get maybe 8 to 12 ounces of liquid.I know that times have changed since COVID, but I miss the old PORTIILO menu with they're ribs, different soups and salads. Now, it's all about cutting corners, serving sizes, and "extras", for a larger profit. Too bad, so sad, because I will not return to your restaurant, and neither will my friends.
