PowerSetter advertises "Compare ALL SUPPLIERS in XXXX NOW" which is not true, I have a huge list of possible electric suppliers but Powersetter only lists a small subset and most on their list have an early termination penalty which I can avoid. Many of the PowerSetter choices also charge more than my default electric company so where is the savings? I have been tracking PowerSetter for years and it's always been this way.
They texted me out of the blue to say they'd be monitoring my electric rate for me. Okay. Then, they texted me to say it was time to choose supplier. Okay. I followed the link, chose the least expensive supplier. At the end of the terms of service was a box with a MA advisory to check a provided link for supplier rates. I did. Turns out Cape Light Compact has a better rate than any they showed me. My questions are how is it they have access to my info to contact me and why didn't I do more checking before getting almost all the way thru signing up. I consider this company scammy. Or scam-adjacent at the very least. I have something to say to Eversource about this.
