Thanks to Precision I now know when to use ANOVA and when to use multiple regression instead. Based on the work they did for me, my professor actually changed his mind about using multiple regression (whew)!! The smart people at Precision explained to me, and subsequently through their work on my behalf, to my prof, that when your key independent variable is a dummy, ANOVA is usually they way to go. But Precision was totally flexible about it, they said what matters first and foremost is the opinion of my dissertation advisor, and that they would use whatever he preferred (no matter if he was correct LoL). The Precision aren't just consultants, their the professors you wish you had in your program!
