When I purchased my 4 year old car (with 50k miles) from the dealer I was pleased it would be covered by the three month AA warranty which also would cover wear and tear. After a couple of weeks the car became undrivable as the front brake was sticking on, the front brake caliper had seized.Unfortunately I was initially told this would not be covered by the warranty as I was told it was not a sudden failure but also not wear and tear and maybe the defect was there at the point of sale even though the car should have had a '128' point inspection. After a follow up call to my complaint Warranty Direct and The dealer agreed to cover the whole cost of the repair so I am pleased with the outcome but not happy that I had to argue and complain to get there.
