When requesting a quote I had specified that the 2 2m x 2m x 30cm mattresses were to be collected from a ground floor, but delivered to a 2nd floor and even specified the 2 staircases were standard 13 treads. I also sent mattress carry bags to the seller so that the couriers could put them in before storing and transporting.Today, I had 2 filthy, unwrapped mattresses delivered, but the nasty man in charge argued that the ground floor was the first floor and they refused to carry them to the 2nd floor, dumping them in my lounge (upside down house); I stated that in the UK, we have a ground, 1st etc. I'm a.widowed 57 year old female with arthritis and waiting for further chemo. The only other inhabitant is my 82 year old mother who has dementia, so this is a fall hazard and the only way to get these to my mezzanine room is to pay for others to come in.I called the agent's number (only find out today that it was an agent and these were sub-contractors), was told that the mattresses were photographed wrapped on his screen and he would speak to their "dispatch team", but 3 hours on, they have not called back. The worst experience ever.
