I was advised to use Propp by L&C for a second charge as I had broken my leg and needed 12 months off work. I have a fairly small mortgage (LTV) Took some time but finance was arranged. At the time one of the advisors told me to consider borrowing more which I declined as I didn't need it then. Leg healed and I was back to work with no issues healthwise. Approached Propp again for some renovation works which would mean paying off the second charge in full and covering the works. I was advised this would be no problem as I had used them last year. I provided absolutely everyting requested as did my accountant, then repeat requests for the same information which made me concerned they'd forgotten what they'd asked for. I started to feel things were off and despite multiple attempts at communicating I was ignored sometimes for weeks at a time. FOUR months it took for them to say they could sort out the deal if I then paid the best part of £1,000 to have my house physically valued. At this point I cancelled the application to then be asked if they could find another deal for me as they thought the way I had been treated was poor too!! Avoid them.
