We used PROSHRED for shredding services and had a very disappointing experience when we tried to schedule a pickup for a locked shred container at our office.
We emailed on February 13, 2026, to request the next available pickup date. After no response, we followed up again on February 25 and February 26 and made multiple phone calls… still no acknowledgment or reply. For a law firm handling confidential, time-sensitive materials, being ignored like this is unacceptable.
By the end of February, we had to set a firm deadline (close of business March 2, 2026) to get basic written confirmation of (1) whether they intended to continue servicing the account and (2) the specific pickup date. Because we received nothing, we were forced to consider switching providers and addressing the abandoned container ourselves.
If your business relies on timely communication, especially for sensitive documents... be cautious. Our experience was essentially that the company “disappeared” when we needed service.
