I booked my FREC 3 with Pulse. I'm so glad I did. We were greeted on day one by a smiling, professional and personable instructor. The facilities are great (Tea,Coffee and Biccies were included too), the equipment is fantastic and the venue is beautiful.
You work through some presentations to gain foundational understanding and then it accelerates from there with a mixture of practical sessions, scenario training and learner lead teaching.
I loved their attitude so much that I've signed up to be one of their Event Medics and I'll be signing up for my FREC 4.
I cannot recommend them enough.

I attended the Out of Hospital Adult Immediate Life Support course and it was a really good course. This is the third course I’ve completed here and, as always, the trainer was excellent, very knowledgeable, engaging, and easy to follow. Nothing was too much trouble, the trainer made sure everyone understood and was always happy to go over things, with plenty of tea breaks too. I completed the course with a great bunch of people, which made the day even better. Overall, a great course and one I’d definitely recommend
Craig our instructor was fantastic. He made a 5 day course feel manageable and broke down complex subjects to make them accessible. I learnt so much and had fun along the way. I feel confident walking into any situation as a first responder. Highly recommend Pulse and Craig as a provider.
I attended the FREC 3 course with Pulse South Coast Limited in Ringmer, East Sussex, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with both the course and the overall experience. From the very start, Craig set the tone perfectly. He was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable, bringing a huge amount of real-world experience into the teaching. The way the course was delivered was outstanding. One moment we would be learning about burns in the classroom and the next we were responding to an unexpected “incident” somewhere in the grounds, working together to manage a casualty with multiple injuries. The setting itself is absolutely charming and really adds to the realism of these scenarios. There was a brilliant mix of teaching styles throughout the week, with plenty of hands-on practice. We were never left feeling unsupported – Craig was always nearby to guide, encourage and answer questions. I’d never done a course like this before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was genuinely surprised (in a very good way) by both the depth of information and the practical skills we were taught. Our group was small, just six of us, and thanks to Craig’s humour and supportive approach we quickly built a great rapport. Feedback was always constructive and encouraging. Any mistakes were treated as learning opportunities, discussed openly and used to help everyone improve, which I found incredibly valuable.I’ll be honest, I started the course feeling apprehensive and at times even felt a bit like an imposter, as it was so different to the usual “first aid” courses I’d experienced before. By the end, though, I felt genuinely positive about my knowledge and skills. I wouldn’t say I’m confident yet – that will come with time and experience – but I do feel that the foundations I now have are as solid as they possibly could be.The training centre itself is a lovely place, very much in the middle of nowhere, so bringing snacks and a packed lunch is a must. That said, the location really adds to the realism of the scenarios. There’s plenty of parking, facilities for tea and coffee, and the training rooms are extremely well equipped. Everyone had equal access to equipment, with plenty of opportunity to practise key skills throughout the week.Considering the quality of the teaching, the amount of practical experience and the overall standard of the course, the cost feels extremely reasonable. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Pulse South Coast to anyone considering the FREC 3 course. You would need to go a very long way to find an experience as good as this one.A huge thank you to Craig, Pulse South Coast, and my five fellow learners for making it such an enjoyable and worthwhile week.
