Poor reliability and disappointing customer support

I purchased a PureMate dehumidifier in December 2024. After only about 1 year and 3 months of normal household use, the unit completely stopped working and shows no power.I followed the manufacturer's advice by checking and replacing the fuse and even testing another plug, but the device still does not work, suggesting an internal fault.When I contacted customer service, I was told the warranty had expired and that they could not assist further. While I understand warranty terms, I would reasonably expect a household appliance like a dehumidifier to last much longer than just over a year.Unfortunately, the response from customer service was simply that electrical items can fail and the issue was out of their control.Based on my experience, customers should be aware that the product may not have a long lifespan and that support after the warranty period may be limited.
