I had to use Qdos Assistance for a non-fault claim in September 2025, as they were acting on behalf of my insurer. I wish I’d had a choice.Things were fine until I accepted a total loss for my car and full market value offer in October 2025. After that, communication completely collapsed. I sent numerous emails and made repeated phone calls, most of which went unanswered. I wasted a huge amount of time chasing them.Eventually, after months of silence, they confirmed on 6th of January 2026 that the third party settled in full and that Qdos received payment. Since then, I’ve been chasing my payout with no success. I’ve been repeatedly fobbed off with promises that never materialise.They even told me they had sent a BACS payment and that it would clear in 2–3 working days. It’s now been 7 working days and, unsurprisingly, there’s been no payment.I would strongly advise not using Qdos if you have a choice. If you do end up dealing with them and communication stops, go straight through their formal complaints process so that after 8 weeks you can escalate to the Financial Ombudsman.You’d think they would have improved after being featured on BBC One Show Watchdog, unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
