This company is profiting from deceptive marketing practices. It is not at all apparent that when you make a QR code purchase, you are also signing up for a 7-day trial.
I purchased what I thought was a one-time code for a charitable community event. If I knew there was a 7-day trial period, I would have canceled it immediately.
They do not send you follow-up emails thanking you for your subscription or any kind of emails. Every good company I have a subscription with does exactly this - follow-up emails, because it's a good business practice.
I disputed the charge with Chase, and they sided with the scam company, but credit card companies are in the business of making money, not giving it away.
I've read through enough reviews on this site to see the same issues repeatedly. It seems like a great tool if you are, in fact, looking for a service like this. All I wanted was a one-time use code.
Thank you to everyone who has written about this company scamming them, and to those who wrote about disputing it with their credit companies and being denied. I have captured all of your complaints. I am bringing this to FTC, CFPB, and the IL Attorney General.
I will not allow companies to continue taking money from people they deceived. They scammed the wrong person.
Also, note that the complaints I have captured are all within the same time frame as my experience. I am not a complainer, so if I am openly complaining about something like this, there is a real problem.
