I had a very strange experience with Quest Employment while applying for a warehouse role with B&Q.Initially, I was told I could attend a warehouse viewing on Thursday. When I asked what time the viewing would be, the person handling my application (Lucy) avoided answering the question twice and only gave the time after I asked a third time. This already felt unnecessarily unclear. Before even attending the viewing, I was asked to submit a large number of personal documents, including bank details. When I questioned whether this was necessary just to view the warehouse (not an interview), I was told it was a requirement from B&Q.I attended the viewing and it appeared they were looking for a large number of warehouse staff. However, shortly afterwards I received a call saying I had not been successful because there were “stronger candidates.” This was confusing because there was no interview or assessment… it was simply a viewing of the warehouse.Overall the process felt disorganised and not transparent, especially given the amount of personal information requested before any actual interview took place. I would advise others to be cautious and ask clear questions before submitting sensitive documents.
