I started using quick bolt micro flashings a few years ago after seeing a great review of them on a YouTube channel, and I've got to say they just work great, they seal very well into shingle and certain residential metal roofs, they pair up very well with iron Ridge racking, And if you put one ring of Lexel clear silicone under them you can zip them down hot or cold, rain or shine, and you've got a solid base that should never give you any trouble, and I like that it adds a more solid base to any "L" foot mounting system which helps prevent it from wiggling around and working loose over time.
