I bought a Radon Render 10.0 750 MS at the beginning of 2025. The bike came relatively fast. Out of the box, everything looked good. I assembled the bike, checked all accessible bolt torques, set it up the way I like and went out riding.
Within the first week, I experienced the first QC issue. The battery cover screw pulled the thread insert out of the Bosch motor lock/mount. The two parts were essentially welded together with cheap dry thread lock compound. The insert had obviously been spun in its seat.
I tried to explain this to Bike Discount. They blamed me. Especially interesting, since I hadn't yet attempted to remove the battery. I was told to glue the insert into place. First impression: the customer is always wrong and we'd rather argue with you than try to help or send you a replacement part that costs us ~8€.
I rode the bike sparingly in 2025.
Now, in the 2026 season, I've started riding again. After 4 to 5 outings the bike started to creak very loudly.
Upon disassembly and closer inspection, I discovered the second QC issue: in the link connecting the rear end to the shock, a vital spacer was simply not installed. The bolt was overtightened to compensate and due to the misalignment and the missing spacer, the linkage rubbed on itself, causing material to be eaten away.
I contacted Radon/Bike Discount, but my better judgement took over and I decided to skip their terrible customer service. I took the hit and ordered the part, or parts (35€!!!!!) at my own cost. At least this way I won't have to argue with arrogant customer service representatives over something that should be a simple customer support issue.
My advice: do not buy a Radon Bike. Do not buy anything from Bike Discount. The prices make them attractive, but spending a little more on a product from a company that treats you like a human being is worth much, much more.
