I am writing this review as a matter of principle to warn other British expats and international directors about the hostile and disorganized practices at Rapid Formations. The timeline of my experience with their Compliance Department (in fact their Head of Compliance by his title) is a textbook case of bad faith:Full Disclosure: I applied for company registration as a British citizen residing in Mauritius. They declined and refunded the fee, stating they couldn’t support that residency. The Bait: Despite having this clear record of my residency, Rapid Formations subsequently accepted my payment for a standalone Registered Office address service. Any reasonable customer would assume that while they don’t do formations for my region, they are happy to rent an address, especially since they took the money. The Switch: A week later, they sold me a UK business number. They were perfectly happy to keep cashing my checks for six weeks. The Intimidation: Out of nowhere 6 weeks later, the Head of Compliance sent a hostile email accusing me of using their address "without knowledge or consent" and "in direct contradiction to earlier communication." He issued a 48-hour ultimatum and threatened me with criminal offences and an RP07 filing, all for using a service I had an active invoice and receipt for.The Cowardice: I moved to another provider immediately, but my follow-up emails calling out this hypocrisy have been ghosted. No apology, and no refund for the service they forced me to abandon. It is disgusting to take a client's money and then threaten them with "criminality" six weeks later for a residency status that was disclosed on day one. Their compliance officer is aggressive, unprofessional, and uses legal threats to mask his company's billing incompetence.Stay far away. There are plenty of providers who treat British expats with basic professional courtesy, Rapid Formations is not one of them.
