I placed a preorder with Rare Candy totaling 4,876.91 USD on May 9. What followed has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.1. Cancellation Policy Hidden in FAQThey refused to cancel the order even though it hadn’t shipped, citing a 48-hour cancellation window. That policy is NOT in their Terms and Conditions, only buried in a collapsed dropdown in the FAQ — nowhere visible at checkout, nor binding. I only discovered it after reaching out. This is deceptive and misleading.2. Misleading Shipping ClaimsThey claimed the order was shipped on May 27, a day after the product’s release date (May 26), yet the first shipping scan didn’t occur until June 5. That’s a 9-day gap with no proof of earlier handoff — and they admitted they don’t receive receipts for shipments. So we’re just supposed to take their word for it?3. No AccountabilityDespite multiple follow-ups, they failed to provide basic transparency or resolve. Their canned responses showed no interest in addressing their failure to meet their own stated policies. They repeatedly dodged clear questions and refused to issue a refund even though their fulfillment was clearly late and their policy was never properly disclosed.---Bottom line: This company operates with zero transparency, poor logistics, and no respect for customers. I’ve wasted weeks trying to resolve this and will be pursuing a dispute through my payment provider.If you value your time, money, and sanity — do not trust Rare Candy with either.
