The Isles Ultra was a bucket list adventure for me and I loved every minute of it. I was nervous going into it since I’ve never run more than 3 ultras back to back but i needn’t have been. There was so much camaraderie and support across the participants and the crew couldn’t do enough for us. Everyone willed everyone else on to do as much as they could and I never felt alone. We had some challenges with the weather to begin with resulting in ferry cancellations but the Race Director James took this in his stride, offering up options and alternatives. We were well fed throughout and had great support from a medic and physio. The official photographer was also amazing and some of the pictures he’s already shared are a fitting reminder of the week … I look forward to seeing the rest. The Outer Hebrides is beautiful and I would encourage anyone thinking about this to take the plunge and sign up … you won’t regret it
