I booked a car through DoYouItaly, provided by Rentalpremium, and it turned out to be the most stressful rental experience I’ve ever had.A few days before pickup, I was told the car wouldn’t be at Malpensa Airport as advertised, but 20 minutes away. They promised a shuttle from the airport, yet when I arrived there was no one there. I called and messaged over ten times — no response. Another customer was waiting since 8 a.m. with the same issue.After 1.5 hours, someone finally showed up — not even an employee, but a “friend helping out.” We were driven to a tiny, unprofessional office and given a different car (a Volkswagen T-Roc instead of the Fiat 500X I booked), full of scratches and dents.The car itself was fine, but returning it was a complete disaster. Despite confirming the drop-off time, no one was there when we arrived. I called and messaged dozens of times, but nobody answered. We had a flight to catch, so I had to leave the car and keys at the building’s reception and arrange my own transport.The same man from before eventually drove us to the airport — but only after charging €40, which I had to pay just to make my flight. Later, I received an email saying the car was “checked in” with no apology or explanation.This entire experience was unprofessional and stressful from start to finish. Rentalpremium should not be allowed to rent cars through DoYouItaly ever again. I strongly urge DoYouItaly to take immediate action and remove this company from their platform so no one else has to go through this.
