What went right! Having contacted Repairtech in connection with our 25 year old Falcon Rangemaster with serial numbers, photos, age etc enquiring whether the cooker could be serviced or parts obtained we were told they could send out an engineer, 'the best and most knowledgeable' to assess it for £168. Unbeknownst to us our Range is 'obsolete' in their words, and they knew that before they sent out Luke. What a con artist. He told us we could pretty much replace everything we wanted to replace then proceeded to try to pull out our Range from its nest at which point I started to get worried and told him to stop. He couldn't get it back and we had to get someone else in to reposition it. He left and no one got back to us. We had to phone the company again, Sam, at which point we were told our Range was 'obsolete'. My problem with this scenario is that they knew from the outset that my cooker was obsolete and parts were impossible to source yet sent out their engineer knowing full well they couldn't help us. What a rip off and highly unprofessional and a total waste of £168 for a 15 minute visit with nothing to show for it. Sadly, after many letters, they have not backed down and the customer is not right. Customer service is non existent and I would warn you against using these people. They are useless. What really was the cherry on the cake was that I managed to source one part that they said was obsolete and they haven't even bothered to ask what that part is or where it can be obtained for future customers. I rest my case!
