I was introduced to this Company when…

UPDATE 10.11.2022 I want to make this absolutely clear that I DO NOT HAVE THE WRONG COMPANY. I raised a complaint with this company and requested (amongst other things) that they respond truthfully to this review. To date they have not done this and not amended their response. If anyone would like verification that I do have the correct company you can contact me directly via Facebook Sandie HayesI was introduced to this Company when they responded to a letter issued to one of their clients on my behalf in regards to a incomplete bathroom installation. They asked specifically that all correspondence went via them. I welcomed their advocacy in acting on behalf of their client, however, that was very short lived when it became clear that their following action or lack thereof negated their response to my letter. Despite my several attempts to resolve the bathroom issues, providing evidence and correspondence between myself and their client this Company failed to respond. I have no idea if they no longer represent their client or they are simply choosing to ignore me despite inviting my correspondence! I was not nor ever will be a client of this Company they responded to my letter acting on behalf of their client then failed miserably to follow through wasting my time and unnecessarily perpetuating the issues. If they were not receiving instructions from their client then a simply response advising so would have sufficed. They chose not to do that. I could have acted a lot earlier in taking his client to court however he is now trying to dissolve his Company and any chances of receiving any monies from him are now severely limited. I have been left out of pocket with a bathroom that is not fit for purpose that has continued leaks that i do not have the resources to fix. It has been extremely distressing trying to find a resolution to no avail and has greatly impacted upon my mental health. If you're looking for advocacy I certainly would not recommend or trust this Company given my experience with them. Whether I was a client or a third party is not relevant they contacted my rep to endeavour to resolve the issues, we complied, we were fair and reasonable, we allowed plenty of time for responses, we did not harangue them in any way and yet they still ignored me.Your response is very disappointing however not unsurprising given our experience. We dealt with a Mr George McLaughin who is a co Director of this Company. He engaged with my rep on behalf of his client with the opening statement.I have had sight of your email to my client dated 22/3/22.My client welcomes any steps which might ‘de-escalate’ the current impasse between the parties and facilitate the completion of the project. I would be obliged if all future correspondence might be directed through ourselvesRegardsMr George McloughlinResolute LegalAs you can see we have been trying to resolve these issues since March! Mr McLaughlin inserted himself in this complaint to his client and came forward with zero resolution, we provided evidence of correspondence, images of the damage and continued leaks. We followed the correct procedure under the consumer act, allowed time for responses that never came. Our last communication was on the13 July whereupon we asked for any update/response from his client. Mr McLaughlin responded the following day advising he would consult with his client. To date we have received no response. Mr McLaughlin may well be renowned for being relaxed as your about page inserts however it omits ignorant also. Your company involved itself within our dispute by acting for your client therefore it was your responsibility to respond to us with your clients instructions you neglected to do so.

  • Resolute Legal boasts a well-established housing disrepair division. According to Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, landlords with tenancies lasting less than seven years are obligated to maintain the structure and exterior of the dwelling, along with various installations for water, gas, electricity, sanitation, space heating, and water heating. In addition to these statutory duties, landlords also have contractual obligations outlined in the tenancy agreement.

If you suspect that your landlord has failed to fulfil these responsibilities, you may have grounds to initiate County Court proceedings to compel them to carry out the necessary repairs, along with seeking damages. Resolute Legal can offer guidance throughout the housing disrepair process, including expert advice and assistance in navigating any technical defences that may arise.See more
