I would strongly advise others to exercise caution when using ResumeLeader.com.
I signed up on 7 March 2026 and paid £1.95 to download a CV as part of their 7-day trial. The CV they developed was good, but squashed onto a single page with a very small font. Being aware that the trial would convert into a paid subscription (£39.99/month), I logged back in on 8 March to cancel.
After completing the cancellation process, I was shown an on-screen confirmation stating: “Your subscription was cancelled,” which I retained as a screenshot.
Despite this, I was later charged £39.99. When I contacted the company and provided the screenshot as evidence, they refused to refund the charge, stating that I had not received an email confirmation and that their fees are non-refundable.
I ultimately had to raise a dispute with my credit card provider. They contacted Resume Leader, who very quickly refunded the charge.
Based on my experience, I would recommend taking extra care with this service and ensuring you keep detailed records of any actions taken.
