My husband received letter end May to say the chq would be 14 days. Rang twice over the past 7 days and just given excuses and that if they referred it this could add another 6 weeks on receiving the payment. Apparently even though the letter confirms two weeks to receive a chq, it takes another 3 weeks for the decision (letter confs this) and then another few weeks to receive the chq. Absolutely appalling and not fit for purpose and sending cheques is a way of cheating customers from their money that shouldn’t have been taken but did in April. No high standards anymore only pass the book or cheque so that our money is kept with the tax dept. I wonder if this re applies to year end tax applications.
