Initially we had excellent service when buying our Ercol sofas but when they arrived on time 13 weeks later, one sofa was the wrong colour. After discussions by phone the company agreed to pay £200 compensation as soon as we got the new sofa and they picked up the wrong one. We waited again for a similar length of time (no fast tracking errors) and finally had our order correct. Getting our cheque was more problematic. Apparently the director doesn’t like signing cheques. After many more phone calls and promises over the next few weeks a cheque for only £150 rather than £200 arrived. When we called our contact to say there had been a mistake he said ‘he couldn’t remember what had been agreed’ Why ruin a customers trust and patience?
