First time as an executor of a friends will, & although the Will was very straightforward there were just 2 beneficiaries of the of the Will, it took over 3 years to complete!!! Incompetent & inefficient company. Communication is dreadful, I had trouble getting through by phone, a local office with manned times on the door was more often than not closed, regardless of what was advertised, they ignore emails, lose correspondence, & the rate of staff turnover is unbelievable. When I caught them out in an error they turned it round & try to blame me! I received a summons letter from the local council as right probate were not paying the council tax on the property, & were ignoring council tax correspondence too! I felt I had failed my friends wishes & her family as a straightforward Will took so long to sort to no fault of my own!, I chose another firm to help sort the probate & will, when executor for a family member all complete in 9 months, what a difference.
