Writing this review in hope that I can prevent someone else going through the distressing experience I'm enduring with this company. RJ Living are currently holding $1,500 of my funds ransom, after confirming they are unable to fulfil my order and not refunding me.Order of events:16/04 - order placed for a $1,500 bedframe after much consideration given this is a large investment17/04 - RJ Living email me notifying me that this item is not in stock and will not be returning. The options they provided me with were a store credit or to purchase another item18/04 - I respond to their email stating my disappointment and that I require a full refund, not a store credit or the purchase of another itemFollowing this, I receive no response for 4 days, so I start calling their customer service line and requesting updates.22/04 AM - customer service confirms on the phone that they will escalate my refund ASAP and confirm in writing once done22/04 PM - I call again as I have still received no refund confirmation, and get told that they will escalate my refund ASAP and confirm in writing by the next morning at the very latest23/04 PM - still haven't heard anything all day so I call back to ask for an update, I get told again this is being escalated ASAP23/04 - I receive a call from Anna the head of customer service, trying to persuade me to agree to purchase another product rather than receive a refund. I have to push back multiple times to request that I am just after a refund23/04 - I receive an email from Anna the head of customer service, confirming 'A refund of $1,542.24 , the total amount of your cancelled order, has been processed successfully.'29/04 - Still haven't received a refund, and PayPal confirm a refund hasn't been issued. I follow up customer service requesting proof of the refund being issued, to be told in response 'I have followed this up with our accounts team so they can process it straight away for you.'Still no refund received for a product that didn't exist that RJ Living gladly took my money for. I now have to go through the ordeal of raising a PayPal dispute.Not only is this practise not ethical but it's illegal and goes against consumer law.Another incredibly concerning element is that the product is still showing as available on their website to purchase!Please beware and do not purchase from this company!!!
