Avoid Curbo! If you go over your lease mileage you will be subjected to Constant harassing phone calls, emails and threats of repossesion by the so called general manager at Curbo! I prepaid for my lease for 3 months. Soon as he found out i was over my mileage, first they said oh bring the car back for an oil change and inspection and we will give you a loaner car since i already paid for june. Then it changed oh we can send go oil to do the oil change at my house! I said great since i live out of town. Then it was no the car needs to go to the brampton dealership for the oil change and inspection! I said fine i will drive it there and wait. Then that manager jumps in with No! You either return it here or we will come pick it up! I said what about my loaner? No we are not obligated to give you a loaner! I replied that i paid $1715.00 for this month june already plus $350 deposit! I will drop it off july 2nd 2022 when my lease is done. I need a vehicle for work. What about the oil change at my place i was promised? No! Just return the car or we will come seize it! Am like you better pay me back my money i have a binding lease till month end! But instead, more theeats from this guy like am supposed to be scared of him! I finally warned him not to trespass on my property and i have valuables in that vehicle and i will report the theft if this car missing! Now he claims i owe another $3500.00 for excess mileage and he wants repo the car and keep my $1715 i paid for june 2022! First they did not to want to lease to me after i submitted my photo till i first warned people about their shady practices. Then they suddenly rented to me but asked mw to remove my negative review, which i did! Now this nonsense! I am watching this vehicle like a hawk wajiting to see them try to steal back something i legally paid and have a my receipts and his threatning emails! That so called general manager is extremely rude, greedy and unprofessional! Do yourselves a favour and avoid Curbo! Even when i went to pick up the car, they had me standing around downstairs for over 40 minutes while they sat in their office! I called 3x and they said someone was coming downstairs to bring me on the private elevator but he never came down! I finally had go up with another employee. This place is a sad joke! Very unproffessional.Do yourself a favour rent from somewhere else!!!
Fantastic Service. They actually mean it when they say, A car in your pocket. I rented a brand new Nissan Kicks (fairly loaded, not the base model) and loved it throughout. It’s very sweet spot to rent cars from Curbo as per your liking. The pricing and the peace of mind that you get is fantastic. I live in Oshawa which is quite from downtown and their office. Yet, they could delivered the car at home with reasonable charges. Very happy with overall experience and they have got a loyal customer in me now. Highly recommended.
I dont think this is a service yet launched in Greater Toronto Area fully. Maybe there are some friends and family who are getting support through their own network! Added the app, jumped through all the hoops, after choosing the package, the app showed that I am awaiting confirmation. No movement for 2 weeks. No news. Still waiting. Cancelled subscription after 18 days and they thanked me for the same. I think they were waiting for me to cancel. Totally useless service and app.
Working with the team at Curbo has been fantastic. The process has been stress-free and their team is responsive across all channels. Overall, would highly recommend them to anyone interested in having a vehicle for a month or longer, but not wanting to pay the crazy fees traditional rental companies charge.
Inputted confidential personal information to book a car and never heard back about my request for a car. Wrote a simple pricing question in the chat that indicates they normally respond in minutes and never received a reply 2 weeks later. I’m not sure if this is a legitimate company.
I am a new Curbo subscriber and the customer service is superb. My subscribed SUV was delivered to me about 2 weeks ago and the vehicle handover process was smooth. I was not familiar with the car and did something stupid which drained the battery overnight. It was a weekend and I called Gautum several times for help. He was very patient and kind throughout. I finally ordered roadside assistance to jumpstart the battery with the information that Gautum provided. Gautum even ran remote diagnostics on the car on Sunday to make sure everything is working fine. I am so lucky and glad that I found Curbo and would definitely recommend the service.
I needed a long term rental car in a pinch and luckily through a Google search I found curbo! I almost thought it was too good to be legitimate because the quotes I was getting from traditional car rental companies were outrageous in comparison. Service was great and the vehicle drop off was seamless.
