How does Rockdoor shy away from the guarantee promise on the basis that the warranty is with the installer? It is your manufactured door and quality of product that the guarantee is on. If you supply a trader with your door to fit, how does that alleviate the ‘product’ guarantee. You said you simply manufacture and wash your hands of it. And as our installer no longer exists to get another installer to sort and pay!!! Great door for sure. For £1800 we went with supposedly ‘the best’. Minor issue resolution sought. Poor being fobbed off.UPDATE 1: Increase from 1* to 3* as have had contact from Jason at Rockdoor to offer his support to resolve the issues after the initial ‘no’. They are not major and warranty support should be provided for the period offered regardless of installer status. The door as mentioned previous is a great door. Let’s see how it progresses to happy to review again. UPDATE 2:Increase from 3* to 5* as we had a direct engineer visit from Rockdoor as promised and on agreed date and time. Issues resolved which were not major but would have worsened if not attended. So grateful for that. Thank you to Jason for reaching out and the engineer (apologies cannot recall his name but really nice guy). All in all a result but I do feel it shouldn’t have started out the way it did simply discounting support for their own guaranteed product due to installer going out of business. I have been assured door will be supported throughout the valid guarantee period if required (which is still great after a year and was told installed very well by the installer in the first place). So happy to move from initial 1* for ‘no support’ to 3* for ‘support offered’ and now 5* for attending, resolving and offering future help if required. It may taken a month or so to get there but main thing is we got there. Thank you.
