Extremely Disappointed – Feels Like a ScamI took out income protection insurance with Royal London, and over the years, my monthly payments were hiked from £59 to £89 under the excuse of inflation. However, at no point was the actual payout (the amount I’d receive in the event of a claim) increased. I recently discovered that these payment increases are not mandatory and that customers can opt out — yet I was never informed or given any choice.Royal London simply increased the premium every year without consultation or consent, and continued taking the money regardless. This feels completely unethical and misleading.I raised a formal complaint over a week ago and was told I’d receive a reply. So far, nothing — no follow-up, no acknowledgment beyond an automated email, and no one has bothered to get back to me.It’s exactly the kind of behaviour that gives insurance companies a bad name: zero accountability, no transparency, and no customer care. I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of financially, and the silence from their side speaks volumes.Avoid Royal London at all costs. Untrustworthy, poor service, and in my opinion, completely lacking in decency
