Dealing with staff in bereavement department. Some more helpful than others.My Father died 8.5 years ago and heard from them 3 months ago about benefits entitled to me. I have called them several times and corresponded where needed.Now it is time to pay me and been told that the guaranteed figure (in black and white) has dropped by 20K due to an error on the letter. No proper explanation.The letter looks a standard letter and as such, surely I cannot be the only person to have been impacted by this 'error'!
