The RTB are not fit for purpose. They will not refund the €280 they have owed me since last October 2024. I have done everything they asked. I paid the overpayment because they assured me it would be refunded within one week, then one month, and it was supposed to be refunded at the end of April, but still no sign. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 changed our right to reject something faulty, and be entitled to a full refund in most cases, from a reasonable time to a fixed period (in most cases) of 30 days. How does the RTB think is is fair to repeatedly offer no information on when they will pay a refund. This is what I would expected from a scam website, not from a legally binding government agency.
