i purchased an item for over two thousand dollars on ruby lane. my first and last purchase via that website. the seller put the wrong shipping address on the package (overseas shipping) and refused to correct it. this was really bewildering, and made no sense. and may be some sort of a scam. the seller kept refusing to correct the address, even after we sent them 8 requests with our correct address noted. then the seller blatantly lied and stated that i had changed my address. this was utterly bizarre, and my correct address is on the paypal receipt, the ruby lane invoice, and also on my ruby lane account. ruby lane has no telephone number to discuss these serious matters and their customer service is nonexistent. ruby lane seems to deal with every dispute from a perspective that it was a two dollar item, and just sends meaningless emails that make no sense. we filed a better business bureau complaint, and ruby lane’s response there was utterly useless as well. we are now drafting a lawsuit, and have contacted our credit card company and paypal. ruby lane has no business as an online seller. this is by far the worst online shopping experience of my life. just a complete charade. p.s. i do not believe all these five star ratings for a website that has no telephone number.
