I came into RunDoyen after a period in my life where, after getting injured and quitting on running, covid came and ai decided to get back in shape (as happened to many of us) and I decided to rehab from my injury. I first was matched with coach Ryan, who was smart and kind enough to take me from walking back into running a Marathon in 3:02:37 on my first real attempt at the distance. After some time, I was rematched with Coach Jacob Phillips, who has truly been the best for me. We have a great rhythm going and I can’t see myself training for marathons without his guidance, there’s always a workout that surprises me and helps me learn new tools to improve my running.I’ve gone from a 3:02 to a 2:40 marathon after 2.5 years of training with Jacob, and looking forward for another breakthrough.
