I always thought I was bad at languages. I took three years of French in High School and didn't feel like I learned or retained much. With Russian Accelerator, I couldn't believe how much fun I was having while learning. I just completed the first course of 18 units, and I am excited to share that it made me able to converse at a beginner level with my new in-laws who are from Belarus. It has given me the confidence to strike up a conversation when I hear Russian speakers when I am out and about (there are many in the San Francisco Bay Area). The most useful tools in the class were the techniques like power phrases and pattern recognition. These helped me to learn without forcing me to memorize everything.
