I've used Safelite several times in the past and never had a problem with service. Unfortunately my most recent experience was not the same. I called last Tuesday (4/29/2025) and spoke to a representative about a quote for a windshield repair for a crack about the size of a nickel. I wasn't able to get the quote online as my year/make/model was not in the system and the representative on the phone said that they could not give me a quote for the same reason. They forwarded my case to another team and said I would get a call from them. I followed up on Friday (5/2) as I hadn't heard anything. The representative said I would hear something in 48 hours (it had already been 48 hours) and I asked if that included Saturdays to which they confirmed it did. On Thursday 5/8 I called back as I still had not received a phone call. This time the representative told me that my case had been deleted from the system as the "part could not be found". Sadly, the crack has grown to probably six inches now and a replacement will cost $1300-$1700. The negligence and poor communication of Safelite has likely cost me a lot of money. This experience was bad enough that I will not consider using Safelite again for glass repair/replacement. I will say that all of the reps on the phone were nice and professional. UPDATE: The windshield replacement will now cost me $2100. Thank you Safelite!
