I initially wrote a positive review after the pickup, as everything seemed to be going according to plan. However, my perspective changed before delivery. After signing a binding estimate and with the cancellation period over, the total price jumped from $3,902.90 to $6,743.74, plus an added $100 stair fee at delivery. I was informed this was due to discrepancies in inventory, even though I had provided detailed item information earlier. Upon delivery, I was forced to pay extra charges before my belongings could be unloaded. Communication was lacking, and the situation escalated to the point where apartment management and security had to intervene. A large television was also damaged during the move. I later discovered that the carrier's insurance coverage is limited to $0.60 per pound, a significant limitation that was not clearly communicated during the booking process. This experience feels like a bait-and-switch tactic: a low initial quote to secure the contract, followed by significant price hikes when cancellation was no longer an option. I am looking for a proper resolution regarding the unexpected charges and damage to my property. I have attempted to address this through the appropriate channels without success.
