While the service and response have been good, after 18 months with two rigs, I can’t recommend it to individuals. I’m committed to BTC and have been building my stack since 2016. Last year, I explored mining to immerse myself in the Bitcoin ethos and chose the upgrade path for more uptime, but that led to two months of downtime and doubled energy costs without a similar increase in BTC output. Backtesting against simply investing the rig costs into BTC reveals I would have accumulated significantly more for much less effort. It was a fun yet costly experiment, but the numbers are clear. This approach doesn’t outperform just buying and holding for me. Now, I face the challenge of selling the rigs, which will be difficult since I lack confidence in the model.
