***Second update***After a lot of messaging them, I went to my credit card company and asked them for assistance in contesting the charge. They told me they believed they should be able to get my money back by doing a charge back to Science and Humans. When I informed Science and Humans that I was going to do this they finally relented and agreed to refund me my money. ***An update to my original review*** I've tried again to request a refund from them and been told that when I was offered a blood test to determine TRT eligibility for $1, that within the wording of that offer it is stated that if the blood test comes back as being eligible for treatment that Science and Humans is then able to charge $150 for a consultation. It seems they first send out a link to book this consultation yourself so it doesn't look like they're going to take the money regardless, but in my case they ended up taking it regardless when I changed my mind about booking. It's a straight up scam, don't be fooled. ***Original review***Not a great experience. Thought I'd try it out initially and they were offering the initial testosterone test for $1 with nothing standing out as future charges. I did the test then they signed me up for a consultation to discuss going on testosterone and kept trying to charge me $150 for it without my consent. The issue being that my results showed I was actually not terribly low, or necessarily needing TRT, and I wanted to discuss it with my normal health care provider first. Every time they tried to charge me I asked them to please stop doing so and to stop trying to book me consultations without my consent. It happened a total of 3 times, where the first 2 times they agreed to stop trying to charge me and book me a consultation, then they went and tried it again anyways. On the 3rd time I had forgotten to lock my credit card and they snuck in the charge. It feels like a really slimy company trying to make money off of a niche thing allowed in our medical system, by also trying to take advantage of people. It's a scam. Especially when you consider it's $150 for a couple minutes for them to look at a test result, paid for by Canada's medical system, then a $200 consultation fee every few months to renew the prescription. It's especially underhanded when they are able to do what they did with me and just spam my credit card until they're able to charge me. I highly recommend staying away if you can avoid it and start with a testosterone test from your normal healthcare provider. If that test comes back low, maybe then look into something like Science and Humans.
