It comfortably fits 4 cards, though I had to push a bit to fit a 5th. The first time I went out with just my keys and phone was fantastic; it may seem trivial, but as a parent, after years of carrying everything for everyone, it felt quite liberating :) Just a note: not all models come with the card stand.
