I have been a loyal visitor to this establishment for many years, spending a significant amount of money during my visits. My friend and I particularly enjoy the greenhouse café, as it offers a unique experience surrounded by live herbs and plants, accompanied by the cheerful presence of little birds. Even on chilly days, I found comfort sitting there with a coffee, a blanket, and the warmth of the overhead heater — it has always been a peaceful retreat. However, I was informed yesterday that the greenhouse café is now entirely closed for the winter, and we were directed to sit in the distillery instead. This alternative is an enclosed space without any view of the plants, which undermines the essence of our visit. I opted not to remain and we decided to go elsewhere. What disappointed me the most was not just the closure, but the manner in which it was communicated. There was no flexibility or discussion offered — just a straightforward statement that it was closed for the winter. Given that the greenhouse is equipped with heaters and that many customers, including us, would have been content to stay warm with blankets, this felt unnecessary and rather abrupt. I have always cherished my visits here, and it saddens me to feel distanced from the very atmosphere that made it so enjoyable. I sincerely hope this decision is reconsidered or at least conveyed with more consideration for loyal patrons who appreciate the greenhouse experience.
