First time booking with Secret Match Day and certainly won't be our last - I had never heard of the team until I came across them on Instagram and as a football daft family it was right up our street so thought I would book it for my husband's 40th. The whole waiting to find out where we were getting sent made it even more exciting. I booked it for the four of us as my boys (16 & 12) would never have forgiven me if they didn't get too. When we found out we were going to the San Siro the boys were buzzing as it was somewhere they had always wanted to go. The team had booked our flights, hotel and arranged the tickets so all we had to do was turn up, it was so stress free. The transport from airport was easy as there's plenty buses outside to take you into city centre which was only about 45 mins and not expensive. When in Milan the metro system was easy to work out and was so cheap to get around. Our flight out was first thing Friday morning so we had the full day, so we done the stadium tour that day and highly recommend it, was very interesting. The game (Inter Milan v Torino) was on the Sat night so again we had the full day Saturday to explore Milan and what a place it is. The game itself was fantastic - atmosphere was electric, we had a great view of the pitch from our seats. The Sunday our flight home was at 5pm so again had more time to explore Milan before heading back to the airport. The hotel was about 15 mins outside the city centre but easily accessible as there was a train station right beside the hotel.My husband absolutely loved his surprise weekend for his 40th - certainly one we will all remember. Our boys are still buzzing that they have been and experienced the San Siro. The Secret Match Day Team were fantastic to deal with - super helpful and absolutely made my husband's 40th birthday.
