We opted for The Obscurer package as we were excited by some of the unusual destinations/stadiums that others had posted about and the description of this experience as being for “football fans with a thirst for adventure … craving truly offbeat experiences.” We were therefore somewhat disappointed when it was revealed that our secret matchday was in Dublin - a city we’d already visited a few times before - and that the match in question was being played at the national stadium rather than an obscure, quirky ground.We still had a great time though and couldn’t fault the organisation of the trip. Our hotel was in an excellent location for the stadium and located near good transport links into the city. The seats in the stadium gave us a good view but were located in a neutral zone. Potentially a more exciting matchday experience could have been had if we had been in amongst the Bohemians fans.We would give it another go though as we’d always look forward to the opportunity of watching a match and exploring a new location 👍
