We were with Sector Alarm for 3 years and everything was great until we actually had a burglary. The burglary happened within 48hours of us leaving on vacation and the only people we told we would be away were Sector Alarm, the car was even still in front of the garage, which raises its own questions. The burglars were in the house for a significant time but our motion detectors did not activate, we had 3. Sector Alarm subsequently confirmed that their equipment was working properly, so it seems it is very easy for thieves to circumvent it,, so fit for purpose?? There is also a clause in their contract that exonerates them should you be robbed,,, so what is the point. Their equipment easily circumvented and no responsibility.
