I'm a fan of the overall Seeking Alpha platform. My issue is with their ALPHA PICKS subscription of which I was a 2 year subscriber. Returns advertised are overstated substantially over the long term because the "buy" price they utilize is often not attainable by the subscriber. When they announce their picks each month, often times the stock "gaps up" substantially in the first seconds which leaves the subscriber purchasing the stock at 5% to 15% above the announced "buy" price. Over time, this drives a massive decline in the overall returns and win % for their picks. Do the math on your own and see. And I've seen many folks complain about this on the SeekingAlpha chat rooms, but nothing seems to have been done about it. Very frustrating.
