The Wok burner on my 26 year old SMEG SER34AX1 hob had basically burnt out, literally the centre part had become detached. I contacted smegspares.co.uk (the brand name for ServevastDirect.co.uk) and amazingly I found I could still get a new Wok burner to fit my old hob. Then they told me for a few quid more I could get the entire SER34AX1 Burner Kit to replace all 4 burners. The only drawback is they had to order it from Italy, and it would take 2 weeks. That was no problem and it arrived today, 2 weeks later, only £5.82 delivery. Saved me having to get a completely new hob and having it installed properly, probably around a further £300. So thanks Smeg for being green and keeping old spare parts for your old hobs, and thanks Smegspares for your help & advice and great service hopefully giving my Smeg hob another 25 years of life.
