Whilst we fully expected some damp or issues in an older home, the sitting room was totally inhabitable due to extensive damp across the whole ceiling and room. If the house had been inspected for living standards we are pretty sure it would have been deemed unfit for guests. The smell carried through the house. We were not alerted to this prior to arrival and 3 or the 5 guests had to move out mid week. We planned on having 1 or 2 evening home relaxing, however literally used the house as a base to sleep in, we were up and gone asap as the smell was terrible. We do have several photos if required.Full face to face inspections should take place before rentals are agreed.
